LastMen LLP ("Lore", "we", "us", "our") is committed to fostering a legally compliant, transparent, and customer-first environment. These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of urbanlore.in and our Shopify store (the "Website"), which offers curated lifestyle products under the Lore brand.

By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or place orders.

This Policy complies with the Indian Contract Act 1872, Consumer Protection Act 2019, Information Technology Act 2000, and Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Non-Transferable: Accounts are personal. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent policies is prohibited.

Closure: You may request account closure anytime by emailing lorekeepers@urbanlore.in. Order history and transaction records will be retained as required by law.

You agree not to:

5. PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless stated otherwise.

Pricing may change without notice, but changes do not affect orders already placed.

We accept payment via Razorpay through:

- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay)

- Net Banking

- Digital Wallets (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay)

- UPI

- Buy Now, Pay Later providers

Payment card details are NOT stored by us. Razorpay tokenizes and encrypts all payment data. We only receive a secure token.

6. ORDER CONFIRMATION & FULFILLMENT

Upon clicking "Place Order", you receive an automated email acknowledgement. This does NOT constitute final acceptance.

All orders undergo verification:

- Payment authorization

- Fraud detection checks

- Real-time inventory verification

- Address validation

An order is formally accepted only when payment is authorized, verification passes, and the order is dispatched with a tracking ID issued.

If stock is unavailable, the order will be cancelled and a full refund issued within 5-7 business days.

7. ORDER CANCELLATION

Customer Cancellation:

You may cancel your order ONLY within 2 hours of order placement by emailing lorekeepers@urbanlore.in with your order number. Once your order enters the "Processing" stage (typically within 2-4 hours), cancellation is no longer available.

If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 12-15 business days.

Company Cancellation:

We may cancel orders due to:

- Payment authorization failure

- Fraud indicators (duplicate orders, high-risk payment history, suspicious activity)

- Stock unavailability

- Non-serviceable delivery address

- System errors (e.g., pricing errors)

You will be notified immediately, and a full refund will be issued within 12-15 business days.

8. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

Return Eligibility (within 15 days of delivery):

Manufacturing Defects:

- Fabric damage, holes, or tears (from manufacturing, not mishandling)

- Print defects, fading, or misalignment

- Packaging damage that resulted in product damage

Wrong Item:

- Item received does not match your order (different style, color, size, or design)

Size Exchange:

- Subject to availability; no additional charges for exchange

Customer Preference Returns:

- "I changed my mind" or "I don't like it" — NOT eligible for free return, you may return at your own shipping cost

- If item is in new, unused condition, refund issued MINUS 10% restocking fee

- Refund processed within 12-15 business days of return receipt.

Return Process:

1. Email lorekeepers@urbanlore.in within 15 days of delivery with order number, reason, and valid photos & video.

2. We will review within 2-3 business days and email a prepaid return label (for defects/wrong items)

3. Return the item via courier using the provided label

4. Upon receipt and inspection (3-5 business days), refund or replacement will be initiated

5. Refunds issued to original payment method within 12-15 business days of approval

Conditions for Return Acceptance:

Returns will NOT be accepted if:

- Item shows signs of use, washing, or wear

- Item has been altered or tailored

- Packaging is missing or damaged

- Return initiated beyond 15 days

- Item was marked "Final Sale"

9. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Shipping is facilitated by third-party logistics partners.

Estimated Delivery:

Delivery estimates are approximations only. Actual delivery may take longer due to courier processing, geographic location, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. We are NOT liable for delays caused by courier inefficiencies or events beyond our control.

Risk Transfer & Delivery Issues:

Risk transfers to the shipping partner upon dispatch. However, we remain your primary point of contact.

If your package arrives damaged, lost, or doesn't arrive:

1. Report within 24 hours of expected delivery or actual receipt with photos/video evidence

2. We will file a claim with the shipping partner within 5 business days on your behalf

3. We will follow up weekly on claim status

4. If approved, you receive a replacement or full refund at no cost

5. If denied due to our packaging error, we provide replacement or refund

6. If denied due to other factors, we will explore alternative remedies

Typical claim resolution: 15-30 days. We will keep you updated throughout.

Tracking & Transparency:

All dispatched orders receive a tracking number via email or WhatsApp. You can track via the carrier website.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

- Grant Lore a perpetual, royalty-free license to use the content for marketing and promotional purposes

- Confirm the content is original, lawful, and does not infringe third-party rights

- Acknowledge that we may edit or remove abusive, misleading, or defamatory content

We reserve the right to remove:

- Fake reviews or incentivized reviews

- Spam or promotional content

- Defamatory or abusive language

- Off-topic or unrelated content

- Reviews from competitors

Users who post fake reviews may have accounts permanently terminated and will be reported to authorities.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Lore's total aggregate liability for any claim shall NOT exceed the amount you actually paid for the relevant order. For example, if you purchased an item for ₹5,000 and suffered a loss, our maximum liability is ₹5,000.

We are NOT liable for:

- Indirect damages (loss of profits, business opportunity, data, or economic loss)

- Consequential damages (emotional distress, reputational damage)

- Punitive or exemplary damages

- Third-party actions (shipping partners, payment gateways)

- Service interruptions or technical errors

- Product misuse or normal wear and tear after delivery

Nothing in these Terms waives statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, including the right to refund for defective goods or to file complaints with Consumer Redressal Commissions.

16. MISCELLANEOUS

Force Majeure: We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or shipping disruptions.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
